THIS IS A LIST OF MEDICATIONS THAT ARE SAFE FOR YOU AND YOUR BABY. THESE CAN BE PURCHASED OVER THE COUNTER WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION.

1. Pain, Fever or Headaches: Regular Strength , Extra Strength Tylenol (Not to exceed 4,000mg daily)

2. Constipation: Milk of Magnesia, Metamucil, Fleets Enemas, Colace, Citrucel, Mineral Oil, or 1 bottle of Magnesium Citrate, Unifiber, Glycerin Supp., Dulcolax, Senokot, Miralax.

3. Cold or Allergy Symptoms: Actifed, Sudafed, Tylenol Sinus, Tylenol Cold, Tylenol Flu, Ocean Nasal Spray, or other Saline inhalers, Claritin, Zyrtec, , Cold-Eze, Vicks vapor rub, Mucinex, Flonase

4. Cough: Any Robitussin or Triaminic product. Cough Drops.

5. Heartburn: Maalox, , Tums, , Riopan, Pepcid AC, Tagamet, Zantac, Prevacid, Gavison.

6. Gas Pain: Simethicone (Mylicon), Phazyme, Gas-X, Gaviscon, Beeno, Mylanta Gas.

7. Diarrhea: Kaopectate, Immodium A-D.

8. Nausea: ½ to 1 tablet Unisom sleep aid with Vitamin B6 50mg tablet with each meal & at bedtime, sea bands, Emetrol, Ginger and Ginger Root, Dramamine.

9. Skin Rash, Poison Ivey, Itching: Hydrocort, Cortaid, Topicort, Caladryl Lotion, Sarna, Benadryl Cream, Benadryl 25mg tablet, bath, lotion and ointment, Lotrimin Cream.

10. Yeast Infection: Monistat 3 or 7, Vagisil cream, Gynelotrimin.

11. Difficulty Sleeping: Benadryl 25-50mg at bedtime, Unisom ½ to 1 tablet at bedtime, Chamomile tea, or Tylenol PM.

12. Hemorrhoids: Tucks pads, Preparation H, Anusol, Proctofoam, Balneol

13. Sore Throat: Chloraseptic Spray, Throat Lozenges.

14. Leg Cramps: Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily, Tums 3-4 daily, and eat Bananas.

15. Muscle Soreness: Bengay, Deep Heat Ointment, warm tub bath, Thermal Stick-on pads, Heating pad.

16. Miscellaneous: AZO Standard ok after 14wks gestation for UTI symptoms. Abreva for cold sores.

Food Advice: AVOID ALL RAW MEAT (to include sushi) AVOID ALL SEAFOOD EXCEPT SHRIMP AND SALMON TUNA: EAT IN MODERATION. IF MIXED WITH MAYO, DISCARD ALL LEFTOVERS. DELI MEATS: KEEP WELL REFRIGERATED AND DISCARD IN 5 DAYS OR LESS. EAT IN MODERATION.
