TOURISM PROFESSIONALS Who Lead by Example Honoured for Their Work

ive tourism professionals received special recognition at the F 24th annual Tourism Professional Recognition Dinner on June 14 in Saskatoon.

Carol Lumb, Director of the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council (STEC), received the Tourism HR Canada Leadership Award for her longstanding commitment to advancing progressive human resource practices in Canada’s tourism sector. Philip Mondor, President of Tourism HR Canada, presented Lumb with the national award. Tourism Ambassador Awards were presented to individuals who continually demonstrate exceptional commitment to professional development in the workplace. The Tourism Ambassador Awards are a highlight of the annual Tourism Professional Recognition Dinner, and are available in each of the Canadian tourism sector’s five industries: Accommodation, Food and Beverage Services, Recreation and Entertainment, Transportation and Travel Services.
