Call for Papers Special Collection on Impact Dynamics for Advanced Aerospace Materials and Structures

Aims & Scope This special collection aims to publish original studies on the topic of impact dynamics for advanced aerospace materials and structures, serving as a forum to exchange and disseminate ideas and strengthen the links between researchers in the international academic community who focus on impact dynamics.

This special collection is dedicated to seeking original investigations related to impact dynamics with a specific focus on aerospace materials and structures.

We invite papers for submission on topics including, but not limited to: • Mechanical and failure behavior at high strain rates (lightweight alloys, composites, foam and sandwich materials, etc.); • Novel dynamic experimental techniques; • Numerical analysis and computational design of structures under impact loading; and • Crashworthiness and energy absorption of aerospace structures.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines • Instructions for submissions can be found at: https://ascelibrary.org/doi/book/10.1061/9780784479018 • Authors should follow the guidelines for ASCE journal submission and submit manuscripts through the journal’s Editorial Manager website (https://www.editorialmanager.com/jrnaseng/default.aspx) by November 27, 2021.
