Colleges Scotland – additional information following Education and Skills Committee meeting (7 September 2016)

Please find attached a paper (page 2) which outlines the gender split on college boards of management as at 4th March 2014 and 1st October 2015. Several college boards have recently been recruiting for new board members and Colleges Scotland will be shortly issuing a new survey to the sector to capture this split again (as at 1st October 2016). Once the data has been compiled we will share the findings with the Committee. This is likely to be late October 2016.

In terms of the data regarding college leavers destinations, Colleges Scotland doesn’t collate this information – our Chief Executive referred to a report that the Scottish Funding Council is due to publish next week (Wednesday 21st September) on College Leaver Destinations.
