REAR COMMODORE’S NOTES

After twelve days of hard toil and a few minor moments of tension the upper deck bar and walls have been finished. With the combined efforts of Rob Lonie, Stephen Brind, The Winkle Group and a small dedicated group of Wednesday Warriors have delivered an outcome well above expectations.

We now have an upper deck that looks larger, cleaner and more open with a more serviceable bar area. A big thankyou to all that so generously gave up their time to ensure that we could re- open in time for a function that was booked. In particular; Bob Aynesbury, Bob Couch, Geoff Turton, Peter Gold, Dan Dieckman, Bob and Sue Perkins, Phil Webb and Steve Sievewright. If I have missed anyone I apologise.

Stephen will now crack on with putting the finishing touches to the upper deck AUGUST 2019 Page 9
