Political program

62 Rising Italy's nationalist league formed a Nationalism populist coalition in Italy. Spain - in the once thought a barren ground for such politics - elected multiple Western far-right politicians to parliament for the first time since the country World returned to democracy in 1975.

And until this week, Austria's Freedom Party was in coalition with the centre right, before their leader was caught up in a video scandal.

Also on other sides of the world the far right wing and the people who are against the LGBTQ+ rights have raised their voices and made it to be elect their representatives in the highest positions like the The political program of the current president of the USA or the Europride 2022 will circulate around president of Brazil who says: “Yes, the slogan and the objective that I’m homophobic – and very proud we chose: “No step back”. of it.”

Nationalism has always been a feature across Europe's political spectrum but there has been a recent boom in voter support for right-wing and populist parties.

63 7.2 POLITICAL PROGRAM Aggressions against the LGBTQ+ community have increased all over Europe and it seems that we’re moving back in time. We won’t keep closing our eyes: enough is enough and we want not only to set a sign, we want to use the awareness of the Europride to motivate everyone to stand up and stop what is currently happening in Europe and all around the world. And therefore we don’t need any weapons or agressions, because we have the strongest argument that exists on our side: LOVE

We fight with love and we will not move a single step back!

Not a single step back to the laws, that tried to stop us from being us. Not a single step back to the fears, that many of us went through. Not a single step back to horrible time, where we had to hide. Not a single step back to destroyed families. Not a single step back to forbidden love. Not a single step back.

64 7.2 POLITICAL PROGRAM Beside fighting for the already existing LGBTQ+ rights, Barcelona wants to be a sample for all the countries, cities and villages that are still not accepting the LGBTQ+ and human rights.

We want to be a sample of how people from different cultures, with different backgrounds, with different political views, with different sexual orientations, ethnicities and backgrounds are living peacefully and respectfully together.

We’re united in diversity and fighting for each others rights!

EuroPride 2022 look & feel

66 The look and feel of the EUROPRIDE 2022 is connected to the slogan “NO STEP BACK”. The concept starts from the feeling of the fight against oppression and regression. Through barrier of hands that says 'STOP', it clearly and emphatically expresses 'that enough is enough and that we will not do a single step back'.

It also claims, with each and every one of its colors, that together we are stronger, regardless who you are, how you look like or who you love: we are all united by the same cause...

TO FIGHT FOR THE LGBTQ+ AND HUMAN RIGHTS!
