In response to the Bankia-BMN merger

Bankia announces new organisational structure in Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura

• Retail banking in Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura will be overseen by Jaime Campos, Corporate Regional Director

• Business banking in Castilla-La Mancha will be headed up by Juan Luis Vidal, Corporate Director of Business Banking – Centre, while Extremadura will be the responsibility of Salvador Curiel, Corporate Director of Business Banking – South-Islas Canarias

Toledo, 15/12/2017. Bankia has appointed Jaime Campos as Corporate Director of the Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura Regional Head Office. He previously served as Corporate Marketing Director at the bank’s Corporate Marketing Director. Campos replaces Joaquín Holgado, who will take over the Andalucía Regional Head Office.

Jaime Campos, born in Ciudad Real, joined the group in 1997, and has since held various senior positions in the bank, such as Regional Director for Castilla- León.

Juan Luis Vidal Álvarez-Ossorio has been made Corporate Director of Business Banking – Centre and is responsible for the business in Castilla-La Mancha.

He started working for the group in 1995 and has a Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Auditing. He held the post of Corporate SMEs Director until now.

Business banking in Extremadura will be the responsibility of Salvador Curiel, who has joined from BMN and has been named Corporate Director of Business Banking – South-Islas Canarias. He started at Caja in September 1994 and holds a Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Granada. He previously served as BMN’s regional director for Granada.

These changes will take full effect when the final administrative authorisations for the Bankia-BMN merger are received.

This new organisational structure will enable the institution created through the Bankia-BMN merger to exploit the greater business opportunities and boost synergies deriving from the merger.

It will enable a more responsive and more horizontal structure to be built, aimed at driving up business, expediting decision-making, and creating personal development and talent management opportunities.
