Endorsement and Implementation Governance:
Flood Management Strategy – Port Phillip and Westernport
The Flood Management Strategy – Port Phillip and Westernport was completed in 2015. The strategy sets out a vision and objectives for the region, and reflects the activities undertaken by a wide range of organisations. Implementation is now underway, overseen by a dedicated governance committee.
Endorsing the strategy
Organisations working on all aspects of flood prevention, preparation, response and recovery are invited to endorse endorse the strategy vision, objectives and direction. Endorsing organisations agree to work together in a collaborative and integrated way to deliver on the strategy and ensure effective flood management across the region. To date, 27 organisations participating in flood and water management have endorsed the strategy.

Implementation Advisory Committee
Strategy implementation is overseen by an Implementation Advisory Committee, consisting of senior level representatives from endorsee agencies. Membership of the Committee will be updated over time to give interested agencies opportunities to participate.
