KENNY AGOSTINO NAMED CCM/AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Providence, RI – The announced today that Providence Bruins forward Kenny Agostino has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending October 15, 2017. Agostino was involved in every P-Bruins this weekend, scoring twice and adding three assists in two games.

Agostino, who has multiple points in all three games this season, netted his first goal of the season and dished out two assists to help Providence to a 3-2 victory over Springfield on “Pink in the Rink” night. On Saturday a scored again and recorded another assist in a 3-2 loss to Toronto. In recognition of his achievement, Agostino will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming P-Bruins home game.

The reigning AHL scoring champion and last year’s Most Valuable Player, Agostino has registered two goals and five assists for seven points in his first three games of the 2017-18 season for Providence. A free-agent signing by the on July 1, 2017, Agostino posted 83 points in 65 games for the last season, and now has 64 goals and 126 assists for 190 points in 200 career AHL contests with Providence, Chicago, Stockton and Adirondack. The 25-year-old native of Morristown, N.J., was originally a 2010 draft choice by the and has skated in 17 career NHL games with Calgary and St. Louis, notching two goals and three assists.
