The original version of “Essence” continues to climb the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 charts and serves as the perfect musical accompaniment in various TikTok and Instagram clips from Kevin Hart, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Kylie Jenner, Michael B. Jordan, Winnie Harlow and more. Released October 2020, Made in Lagos is currently #4 on the Billboard World Albums chart, the longest charting album by a Nigerian artist for the new decade (2020) at 39 weeks and counting. The album is also the longest charting album by an African artist on the Worldwide and European Apple Music albums charts.
