HAMILTON STANDARD – NAUKA 20 YEARS OF SUCCESS ON INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC MARKETS
In November of this year JSC "Hamilton Standard – Nauka," a leading Russian manufacturer of heat exchangers for air conditioning systems of civil aircraft, celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The idea to establish a joint venture between JSC NPO “Nauka” and Hamilton Standard came about in 1994 and resulted in a company backed by the capabilities of the parent companies in the manufacture of air conditioning systems heat exchangers for the aerospace industry.
The early years of operation proved that Hamilton Standard – Nauka’s development required entry in to the international market. The company successfully met that challenge: today Hamilton Standard – Nauka supplies its products to the world’s major aircraft manufacturers and MRO providers.
Higher production volumes for major international programs such as Boeing 787 and Airbus 380 and the growing demand of the Russian aircraft industry called for expansion of capacity. A new production facility was built in Kimry (Tver Region) in 2011. It is fully compliant with international energy efficiency standards (LEED), has state-of-the-art equipment and relies on lean manufacturing methods. As a result, the company production output has increased multifold. Twenty years of hard work has ensured Hamilton Standard – Nauka as a leader among global centers of heat exchanger design and production.
Today Hamilton Standard – Nauka parent companies, UTC Aerospace Systems and JSC NPO “Nauka,” consider further development of the joint venture to include a wider product range of air conditioning components and stronger presence on MRO market.
