40 Days for Life - Fall 2020 Campaign

The 40 Days for Life Fall 2020 campaign will take place from September 23 to November 1.

This is a semi-annual event during which people of all denominations in over 1000 cities in 63 countries around the world stand together and pray to end abortion by converting the hearts of those who are contemplating abortion and those who, directly or indirectly, promote or partici- pate in the act of abortion. Hundreds of babies are saved during these campaigns with parents and relatives being spared the pain of abortion.

Please join us and thousands of people around the world in this global and impactful event.

We can participate in a couple of ways throughout the 40 days of the campaign: 1) pray and fast alone or with family and friends, and/or 2) join others in prayer vigils by registering on the 40 Days for Life website (https://40daysforlife.com/honolulu) on those days and times that are con- venient to you.

Other important information such as key dates, rules of conduct, maps, parking, etc. can be found on the Diocesan Respect Life website at https://www.catholichawaii.org/diocesan-offices/ respect-life/ in the presentation “40 Days for Life 2020”.

The prayer vigils will take place in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic located at 839 S. Be- retania St. Bring your Rosaries if you wish; pro-life signs will be available.

The opening rally for which we expect a significant turnout will be on Saturday, September 26 from 9am-12pm.

COVID-19 Consideration: All that we do or don’t do in terms of praying in front of Planned Parenthood is contingent on the orders that are issued, amended, and or lifted with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, please, monitor the announcements that are issued by our city and governments and respond accordingly so that we all keep in compliance both for our safety and the safety of others.

Please feel free to contact Fred Hagen at 492-0727 with any questions you may have about the campaign or accessing/signing up on the 40 Days for Life/Honolulu website.
