NLC03/2017 Strategic Observations

VOTED to record the following strategic observations that were made during the plenary sessions:

1. The full potential of television media has not been fully appreciated by church leaders. HC network needs to do more promotion and advocacy to the church leadership. 2. Sharing testimonies of changed lives is a powerful way of demonstrating how HC accomplishes its mission. 3. It is important to take care of intellectual property clearance with regard to content, particularly art and music. 4. HC needs to keep up with technological advancements in the various platforms of content delivery. 5. Content drives distribution. 6. There should be more sharing of programs within the network. 7. Network channels should learn from the successful channels i.e. Novo Tempo.

Arrange for a forum of the Hope Channel Network to meet with the officers of the General Conference and Divisions to share the mission effectiveness of Hope Channel. 3. Strengthen fundraising by using changed life stories of viewers and demonstrating mission value to the church. 4. Explore the optimization, sharing of resources and synergy based on language groups within the Hope Channel Network. 5. Identify areas where Hope Channel brings distinctive value to the church. 6. Explore sustainable funding strategies that will enable Hope Channel to accomplish its mission.
