Trinity UMC has provided the coffeehouse with a venue at no charge for rent or utilities for almost 31 years. The church provides the room, the property insurance, the lights, the water, and the freedom to plan programs. Sad news came through today, Connie Sellers (who was a regular at Roanoke No Shame Connie was generous, and kind, so brave Theater from the very first one) has passed and willing to embrace the vulnerability on. When Doug Turner created Third Street Coffeehouse in 1987, he had no way of know- ing how many lives he would touch.
