SMARTPLUG Amazon Echo Set up via Wink ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
Before you begin: Make sure that your SmartPlug(s) are connected and operational prior to SmartPlug/ Amazon Echo integration.
Getting Started: Wink Integration 1. Download the Wink app via the “App Store” or “Google Play.” 2. Log into your existing Wink account (or create a new account). 3. Go to “add product” (iHome SmartPlug is in the “Power” category). 4. Follow the instructions to integrate the Wink app with your SmartPlugs. • It will guide you to iHome.com. • Enter your iHome.com login credentials. • This will grant Wink permission to access your SmartPlug(s). 5. Once Wink integration has been completed, you should be able to control the iHome SmartPlug(s) using the Wink app. • Confirm Wink integration prior to moving onto Amazon Echo integration. NOTE: Make sure that your Amazon Echo is set up and connected to Wi-Fi before proceeding with the next steps.
STEP 1 Open the “Amazon Alexa app.

STEP 3 In the Alexa app go to “Settings.”

STEP 3 Select “Connected Home.” ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
STEP 4 Select “Link with Wink.” ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
STEP 5 Enter your Wink login credentials.
Select “Authorize” ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
STEP 6 Scroll down to “Devices” and select “Discover devices.” ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
STEP 7 You will see a “success” notification confirming your linkage with Wink. ECHO SETUP VIA WINK
You will see a list of all your Wink devices, including your iHome SmartPlugs
Success! You should now be able to control your device by telling Alexa to turn your [device name] ON or OFF.
Note: If Alexa has diculty understanding your device name(s), you may choose to set up a Group to improve voice recognition. See Amazon Echo instructions for more details.
