4 The above campaign medals were all awarded to members of the Royal Papuan Constabulary, Papuan Infantry and While not approved by the Sovereign this medal is awarded by the Head of State on the recommendation of the Commissioner of Police and is authorised New Guinea Infantry Battalions as well as members of ‘M’ Special Unit for service during WW2. PNG long Service Ribbon for Defence (Left) and Public Service (Right) to be worn after all medals awarded by the Sovereign.
