6 SEPTEMBER 15, 2019 | TWENTY-FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME STEWARDSHIP ~ A WAY OF LIFE REFLECTIONS ON STEWARDSHIP

Because it's hard enough to trust those we can see, touch, and hear, it's not surprising we have trouble trusting God. When Jesus asks us to trust Him, we are often thinking about how we are going to handle mortgage payments, college tui- tion, and health insurance. That's where the trust and faith come in. First you have to trust that God will provide for you, then He will show you how your needs will be met. As a good steward try praying, "I believe; help my unbelief." Our Sunday Visitor © 2004

STEWARDSHIP OF THIS MONTH’S MINISTRMINISTRYY SALUTE OUR TREASURE Your offering of as little as one IN GRATITUDE FOR GOD’S GIFTS OF TIME AND TALENT hour’s wage will help us meet TO US, WE GRATEFULLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND SALUTE: our daily needs.

August 24-25 SOCIAL JUSTICE MINISTRY GENERAL OFFERTORY and John Bangert COLLECTION: $13,277.00 We all know what social justice is, kind of, but this active parish ONLINE GIVING: $ 1,877.00 committee will certainly deepen your understanding and your desire to WEEKLY TOTAL: $15,154.00 do more. The committee meets on the fourth Thursday of the month (July excluded), 7-8:30pm in the Learning Center. Meetings are not mandatory and no previous experience is necessary. It is a friendly and welcoming group of about 20-30 who spend time reading and reflecting on social justice issues from a variety of sources, discussing social issues of the day, and discerning how our Catholic faith calls us to respond to them. This ministry encourages our faith community to live the Gospel message by supporting all human life and dignity, defending the poor, and working for justice and peace. We look for ways to stand in solidarity with those in need. We participate throughout the year in activities and projects that help us to be advocates for those who benefit from our prayers and actions. We love new members and those who just want to stop by to have their social consciousness raised. If you are feeling a call, or just a curiosity, please contact John Bangert for more information at [email protected]. WWW.SMDMCC.ORG 7 SPIRITUAL UNIVERSITY 20192019----20202020 REGISTRATION
