Read all instructions before starting PATTERN IS REVERSED FOR USING FUSIBLE 1. Trace each pocket two times onto fabric side of fusible interfacing. Iron the rough side to your wool. Use steam for a good bond. Cut on the lines. 2. Trace all other shapes onto paper side of fusible. Refer to cover pic if needed. Iron rough side down to corresponding wool. Cut out exactly on the lines. Remove paper. Place fusible side down and iron pocket flaps to corresponding pocket. Follow placement picture in pattern. Stitch bottom and top using . Sides will be stitches when you sew the front and back together. 3. Position each piece on corresponding pocket, fuse in place and blanket stitch around edges. 4. Wagon embellishing: Stitch straight lines on packages for ribbon. Make lazy daisy stitches at top of packages for bows. Satin stitch hinge (I used about 3 stitches) on wagon front. Stitch an outline stitch for the wagon handle bar then add more satin stitches for the top. Using outline stitch add a tree trunk. Stitch straight stitches for the branches then add short straight stitches for the pine needles. Add French knot berries at the end of each branch and short straight stitches at top of tree for star. Add a French knot in the middle of each wheel. Make needle clusters using short straight stitches. 5. Dove embellishing: Stitch satin stitches for the beak referring to diagram if needed. I stitched the two outside edges then filled in with about 3 more shorter stitches. Stitch an outline or for the branch and add tiny lazy daisy stitches for leaves. Make to rows of outline stitches in the wing. Add feather stitch in the tail and then French knots on the body. 6. Blanket stitch across top of back piece of each pocket. Pin each pocket front to their back piece, wrong sides together and blanket stitch together. 7. Add buttons and a hanger. 8. Enjoy the work of your hands!
