As we enter a new lockdown can we gently remind you of the following ways you can support the parishes financially, every little helps and if you can we would encourage you to continuing to contribute to the parishes financially, this is much appreciated, especially when for some this is a very uncertain time financially. On our parish website there are various ways that you can contribute as well as being able to put your collection through the letter box, or if in the church there is a box as you come in and one as you leave the church. We have conclude our Rosary with one too. These change seasonally. You are probably very familiar with 2 of them The (Hail Holy Queen) and the Regína cæli. The Regína cæli is said or sung from Easter Sunday until Pentecost and the Salve Regina from day after Pentecost until the day before the start of . The other 2 are less familiar the first of which we have been using during our current Rosary, Alma (Mother of Christ!) and the Ave, Regína cælórum, (Hail, Queen of Heave, beyond compare). The Alma Redeptoris Mater is said from the Beginning of Advent until the Presentation of the Lord (2nd February) and the Ave, Regína cælórum, is said from the Presentation until Holy Saturday. So this week we will change our Anthem at the end of the Rosary. The English texts of both are below.

Alma Redemptoris Mater Ave, Regína cælórum, Mother of Christ! Hear thou thy people’s cry, Hail, , beyond compare, Star of the deep, and portal of the sky! To whom the angels homage pay; Mother of him who thee from nothing made, Hail, Root of Jesse, Gate of Light, That opened for the world’s new Day. Sinking we strive, and call to thee for aid: Oh, by that joy which Gabriel brought to thee, Rejoice, O Virgin unsurpassed, Thou Virgin first and last, let us thy mercy In whom our ransom was begun, For all your loving children pray To Christ, our Saviour and your Son.
