It All Started With a Meeting Mickie DeMoss is more than just the fi rst point guard in the history of the Louisiana Tech Lady Techster program. She was instrumental in the women’s basketball program starting back in 1974. As an undergraduate student in Ruston, DeMoss joined a physical education teacher by the name of Sonja Hogg in then President F. Paul Millsap Vision Jay Taylor’s offi ce.
