A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH: Growing old gracefully is joining with the Leeds Church Institute and Faith in Elderly People to organise a one day event on Wednesday 18th March at Leeds Church Institute under the title of ‘A Matter of Life and Death’: a day to talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement. CATHOLIC YOUTH WORK TRAINING: The Youth Service are offering some Catholic Youth Work Training for anyone who works with young people or is interested in finding out more about Catholic Youth Work. THE MIND HAS MOUNTAINS - A TALK BY DR DAVID TOREVELL: A talk by Dr David Torevell, Leeds Trinity University, 25th March 2020, 6pm. Dr David Torevell is an honorary research fellow at LTU who is going to present a talk on how one-in-four people will experience mental health issues in their lifetime which would benefit from structured treatment or support. One-in-five children will have a mental health issue needing professional help at some time in their childhood. This inter-active talk will focus on spiritual insights into this phenomenon, drawing from the Christian and Buddhist tradition. Poster is available.

PHILIP WILBY'S 'AN ENGLISH PASSION' will be performed by The Clothworkers' Consort of Leeds, composed for and premiered last year by the Choir of Wells Cathedral. Conducted by Dr. Bryan White, with Philip Wilby on the organ. 28th March, 7.30 pm, Leeds Cathedral, free admission.

MASS FOR FR DAVID SMITH: Saturday 16th May 2020, Leeds Trinity University is holding a Mass for former Chaplain and Diocesan Vocations Director, Fr David Smith, as it is 25 years since his death.
