Why become a Trustee? Pendle Education Trust is a local Multi- Trust (MAT) serving East . Currently we have five academies within our family - Primet Academy, High School, Castercliff Primary Academy, Casterton Primary Academy and Pendle Primary Academy. We are currently responsible for the education of around 2300 pupils from ages 4 to 16 and we have an annual budget of just under £11m.

Our focus is exceptional teaching, learning and leadership and meeting the needs of local families and the community. Through close collaboration with local partners and schools, we strive to deliver an excellent education for children in Pendle, Burnley and the surrounding districts.

Our vision is that every child should only be a short walk away from a world class school. We exist to empower, enable and inspire schools to provide an outstanding level of education and support through exceptional leadership, collaboration, innovative thinking and understanding of local needs.

In practice this means that we care passionately about all the children in our academies and believe in the difference our work can make to their lives.

We believe in: Ambition for all Collaboration Individuality and Diversity Innovation

Throughout the Trust, our practice is informed by the 7 principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership. More details of these are available here www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-7- principles-of-public-life

While we expect all schools within Pendle Education Trust to embrace our overarching vision, each of our academies has its own unique ethos and distinctive characteristics. Our local multi-academy trust is based on partnership. By working together locally we are creating a strong community of educators and raising aspirations.
