Residents at Madison Valley Manor enjoyed Cinco de Mayo outside in the courtyard. They enjoyed margaritas, gua- camole, homemade salsa and blue corn chips. We enjoyed the sunshine and Mexican music. Residents have enjoyed eating lunch outside. Our last trip was to the Museum of the Rockies and out to lunch. We got all the residents and staff together and we had a Minnie Moo Parade with our therapy dog named Minnie. MSIT completes welcome sign

Submitted by Stephanie Kruer Main Street Improvement Team

As you drive into Sheridan, the town welcomes you with a beautiful handmade sign, brought to you by Sheridan’s Main Street Improvement Team. The welcome sign on the south end of town now is fully complimented by a welcome sign on the north end of town. Recently, stone work was completed on the north sign, to the admiration of residents and visitors alike. Both signs are the product of local artisan welder and metals fabricator, Glenn Gold- thwait, who donated his time and labor to create these impressive entrance signs. Dan Kenworthy, with a local electric company installed the solar lighting for the signs and the stone work that enhances the north entrance sign was installed by Jack Bieler, both of whom graciously contributed their labor. The remain- der of the funding and costs were raised and dedicated by MSIT. MSIT is a proactive group that sponsors fundraisers annually (such as the Mingling for Main Jillian.Skin.Care Street wine festival that has been ongoing for 10 years straight) to raise money for various im- provement projects. Successful projects include installation of period lighting along Main Street, NOW AT TRENZ SALON & DAY SPA creation of the Main Street Park, the welcome to Sheridan entrance signs, summer flower bar- rels, seasonal banners, new garbage cans and park benches, decorating for holidays, past chair of the summer festival, the Christmas Stroll and the farmers’ market – just to name a few. Present- ly, MSIT provides matching funds for business improvement grants sponsored by the chamber Grand Opening Specials of commerce, and the team also is working on a historical walking tour.
