The established garden has lawns, patio area, summer house with hot tub and wc, vegetable plots, a pond and a number of outbuildings. The accommodation inside the property is spacious and comprises of an entrance lobby which opens into the hallway with doors off to a study or bedroom five, a cloakroom, a large lounge with a fireplace and spiral staircase leading up to a mezzanine reading area and library, dining room, fully fitted kitchen/breakfast area which overlooks the garden. All the double bedrooms benefit from fitted wardrobes and the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and a decked balcony to enjoy the country side views. Shepherdswell is a well-served village with its own popular primary school, public house, convenience store and railway station. The Cathedral City of Canterbury is approximately 11 miles away where you will find a wide variety of shopping, dining and recreational facilities. There are also a number of highly regarded schools and a high-speed rail service to London St. Pancras. The property is also well placed for the A2 dual carriageway giving access to the port of Dover, Canterbury and M2 motorway to London.

Our Time Here Mixton Mews is in a wonderful setting with views out to the village green. It is convenient for all that we need, near to the church, a pub and a shop. The village has a welcoming atmosphere, with a highly-rated school and it is a peaceful place to live. We have great access to the railway station for links to Canterbury and London. Our large kitchen is our favourite room, it is south-facing so has a warm, sunny feeling and it overlooks our garden. We spend a lot of time in there and it is an area where people congregate when they come to visit. This is a perfect house for hosting people, we have held lots of parties here – including our daughter’s wedding. We throw an annual party with 80 guests and there is plenty of space for everyone. The dining room easily sits a dozen people and the rooms have plenty of versatility – this was previously a vicarage which we have adapted to make into a perfect family home. From a social point of view an evening out in Canterbury is 15-minutes away by train, while we can be in France within two hours after a short drive to the Port of Dover to pick up the ferry. The village has lots of footpaths; it is lovely to have so many different walks on our doorstep. Having lived in the area for 35 years and this home for last 20 we would miss the community aspects of the village, if there was a property to buy we would stay here. We are not looking to downsize but we would like a smaller garden, although we will miss the space of having a half-acre looking onto fields, something people are always amazed by.
