Joe Hobson Previously of Studying A Level French

I discovered York College prior to Year 11 when I searched for colleges ‘‘that offered French, German and Spanish, and York College was the only one in my area that offered all three A Levels. I’ve found that the College has a really comfortable atmosphere. There is a big step in learning from school to college level, however once you’ve settled in it is really enjoyable. Students are on first name terms with their tutors and the tutors are all really easy to get on with as they support students with any concerns about progress.

After I have completed my A Levels I plan on studying languages at university, most likely a dual language degree or Law. I eventually hope‘‘ to become either a translator or interpreter for the European Union, United Nations or NATO as I have a particular interest in world affairs.
