The Mai Minute Sarah Josepha Hale (1788-1879), most people do not know that she was an editor of many American magazines. They may also not know that she is best known as the author of the popular nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb". But her greatest achievement was that she spent 3 decades writing about and promoting a single dedicated day to celebrate our great nation. In 1862 she finally persuaded Abraham Lincoln to declare Thanksgiving a national holiday. Page 7 The Focus BoMo Special Events:

Dec. 5th - Join Page the Pelican on the BOMO at Windsor Wonderland on Main St. in downtown Windsor, noon - 5:00 pm on Dec. 5th. The Town of Windsor will be welcoming Santa at Boardwalk Park, among other fun activities. The library will be presenting special storytimes at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30.

Dec. 11th – Snowy Soiree in Severance – a Special Fun Fridays program at Severance Town Hall, 4-5pm. Come for wacky wintry crafts, games, snacks and a movie. All ages are welcome. No registration required. Some Fun Fridays creations from November:

Outreach Schedule for the Winter holidays:

th th  The BOMO will not be in service on Thursday, Dec. 24 or Friday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday, or at Rangeview on the 11th due to Staff Day at the Library.

 For the New Year holiday, the BOMO will stop service after the Mountain Shadows stop on Thursday, Dec. 31st, and will resume service on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 3rd at Timberline Church.

 School BOMO stops are cancelled when schools are closed.

th th th st  Severance Town Hall will be closed Dec. 18 (at 3pm), Dec. 24 , Dec. 25 and January 1 . There will be no Fun Fridays or BOMO service on these days.
