The students organised the two hour dance and exercise session at the college’s Honeywell Sports Village as part of an assessment to test their maths, English and entrepreneurial skills. As well as raising funds through sponsorship, the students sold refreshments and held a raffle for the hospice.

Student Abbegayle Howarth Sellars, 19, from Bolton Upon Dearne said: “It is a cause close to my heart and I hoped we would raise around £200, I’m delighted with the amount we raised. I’ve never done Zumba before but it’s really fun.”

Step 2 - Apply Students can apply for the course of their choice from the beginning of September 2015 by completing a paper application, via the college website or UCAS Progress.

Step 3 - College interview Students are invited in to college to attend an interview with a tutor from their chosen subject(s). Interviews usually take place each Wednesday afternoon between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, starting in November 2015.

Step 4 - College place After the interview, students will either be offered a place on their chosen course or referred to a more appropriate course.

Step 5 - Subject taster Students are invited in to college to take part in a taster session in the subject they have chosen.

Step 6 - Enrolment An invitation and enrolment pack will be sent out at the beginning of August 2016 giving students all the information they will need to enrol onto their course at the end of August 2016.
