Shishmaref Miscellaneous: On 8/22/2020 at approximately 3:01 p.m., AST responded to Shishmaref for an in- vestigation.

Nome Suspicious Circumstances: On 8/22/2020 at ap- proximately 3:03 p.m., AST received a report of a missing red 2001 Ford Explorer from the complai- nant’s property. The complainant was not able to provide identifying info or proof of ownership of the vehicle. The following day the complainant called back to advise the vehicle had been located.

Shishmaref Deceased Person: On 8/22/2020 at approximately 7:21 p.m., AST received a report of a 12- year-old with a gunshot wound in Shishmaref. The youth received emergency medical care and passed away because of the injuries. Initial investigation indicates the shooting was the result of an acci- dental discharge of a firearm. The incident is under investigation. Next of kin notified.

Stebbins Assault: On 8/22/2020 at approximately 9:45 p.m., AST received a report of an assault in Stebbins. The complainant has called several times however disconnects before she can be connected to a Trooper.

August 23, 2020 Shishmaref Assist Agency: On 8/23/2020 at approximately 5:14 a.m., AST received a call for advice from a VPSO.

Nome Public Order Crime: On 8/23/2020 at approx- imately 8 a.m., it was discovered that while parked at a local hotel that someone had spray painted “unjust violence” on the passenger side of an AST patrol vehicle. Nome Police have taken over the investigation and learned that several stop signs, the AST post building and a connex across the street had also been vandalized. DOT was noti- fied.
