Multiple Award Winner: Jason Dizik

Jason Dizik graduated summa cum laude from Central Michigan University in 2008. He holds a BAA in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a minor in Legal Studies. While at CMU, Jason was actively involved with MHTV, WMHW, News Central 34, WCMU, and the Athletic Department. He oversaw MHTV Sports his sophomore and junior years while consulting on the implementation of video into game-day presentation at Kelly-Shorts and Rose Arena during his senior year. Durning his tenure at CMU, Jason won several MAB and NBS awards, the Newcomer of the Year Award his freshman year and the BCA Academic Achievement Award upon graduation.

Since graduation, Jason has become a prominent member of the Detroit sports media, currently serving as the lead game producer for the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers on FOX Sports Detroit. During his 11 years with FSD he has won four Emmy awards while garnering 16 nominations. Throughout his career, which began as a student in 2005, he has worked for various TV networks including FS1, ABC/ESPN, NBC, CBS, Turner Sports, Big Ten Network and Home Shopping Network. He also currently works in event management as a producer/director for several clients including Ford Motor Company with Joseph Productions Inc., directing concerts and events for Olympia Entertainment.

Jason and his wife Emily (who met in Moore Hall in 2007) are active supporters of CMU Athletics and CAM. Jason formally served on the CCFA advisory board and currently sits on the BCA alumni advisory board. He also sits on the advisory board for the student-run TV station for Farmington Public Schools. His professional success and dedication to the university and community were recognized in 2016 when he was named a CMU "10 within 10" award recipient. He and Emily currently reside in Beverly Hills, MI where they await the birth of their first child in January.

Mitli Mitlak (Like You, Like Me) – Islamic Internal Reflections in a Modern World January 11 – February 9, 2019 University Art Gallery Reception: Thursday, January 17, 2019 | 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. There will be a performance art piece done by the curator of the exhibition - Habibah Sheikh at 5:00 p.m. in the gallery. This exhibition, organized by Mediterranean Fire Art Foundation and curated by Habibah Sheikh, features works in painting, video, sculpture, photography, performance, written and spoken language by contemporary international artists and will tour in Europe, Lebanon and the .
