Current affairs debate on the future of the Council of Europe The PRESIDENT* – The first item of business this afternoon is a current affairs debate on the future of the Council of Europe. I remind colleagues that the duration of the debate is limited to 90 minutes. Speaking time is limited to three minutes for all members, except the first speaker, chosen by the Bureau, who is allowed 10 minutes. He was among the initiators of the debate.
