REGION: Italy / Tuscany GRAPES: 60% , 40% Grapes were harvested and transported to an independent cellar. Fermentation took place separately for each variety in temperature-controlled steel vats before undergoing a 15-day on the skins for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. HARVEST NOTE After a cold and rainy winter, spring’s mild temperatures arrived quite early, which prompted flowering earlier than usual. The second half of spring brought abundant rain, while summer began quickly with hot days and copious sunshine. Rain near the end of summer necessitated decisive work. During late summer's ripening period, cool temperatures and sporadic rains delayed the end of the growing season. These conditions caused a slow, gradual, near ideal phenolic ripeness and the grapes maintained optimal alcohol levels. Predictably, the took longer to complete compared with recent . Picking began in late September and ended in late October.

TASTING NOTE With an intense ruby-red color, the wine has profound aromas of red and black fruits. On the palate, the wine’s dense structure is balanced and elegant, with a silky presence, relatively low alcohol and noble tannins. In the mouth, this wine is long and persistent.

FOOD PAIRING Pair with Bolognese and other meat sauce pastas, grilled pork and beef, and roasts.
