RE: BUILDING HOCKEY’S HEART

Dear DAWG Nation Supporter,

DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation promotes community by creating opportunities in recreational and competitive ice hockey, while supporting players and their families in high standards of health, wellness and fair play. Our own Jack Kelly wore #21 on the original DAWGs team and was much more than just a teammate. A husband and father of three, Jack tragically passed in April of 2010. The loss of our beloved #21 was a blow to all of us, but spurred the idea of DAWG Nation. Jack will never be replaced, but to see his legacy live on through his widow and daughters is beyond inspirational. Today his family is still very much a part of the organization and we know that Jack is still watching over us and guiding us in his own special way. RINK GOALS

“I partner with DAWG Nation because I have seen firsthand how this organization meets the needs of those in the hockey community, builds relationships and changes lives.” - Milan Hejduk, Retired NHL Forward (‘98-’13) OLIVER “BUTCH” MOUSSEAU

Butch was a larger than life figure in the Colorado hockey community. He was a friend to everyone and a key contributor to the game in many ways. As the only Native American to ever referee an NHL hockey game, he was a pioneer in every sense of the word. Tragically, Butch passed away in March 2016 after a fall in the warm-ups of an NCAA hockey game in Michigan. His passing sent shock waves through the hockey community across the globe. DAWG Nation stepped in immediately and set up a fund to aid his wife, Macaire, and their three children. Over several weeks, the fund grew to over $175,000 and that check was given to the family during our annual Survivor Game in June 2016. Since then, Butch’s family and extended family have become an integral part of helping us make the world a better place. Thank you DAWG Nation, not only do you enrich lives, you save them!” DAVE “D-REP” REPSHER

Dave is, perhaps, the toughest man on earth. On July 3, 2015, Dave was involved in a “Flight for Life” helicopter crash that took the life of Pilot Patrick Mahany. Suffering burns over 90% of his body, Dave was given a negative chance of survival. Dave not only survived, but continues to defy the odds at every turn. During Dave’s recovery, his wife, Amanda, was by his side every day. This was made possible via substantial donations to the family on two separate occasions, allowing Amanda to concentrate solely on Dave. Recently, Dave tearfully shared, “The only reason I’m here today is because of the gift we received from DAWG Nation.” TO BECOME INVOLVED...
