At the Weidachknoten take the 2nd exit and drive past the Eurospar, take the next junction on the right towards Gebhardsberg. Hike:

From the Gebhardsberg (park at the Landesbibliothek - free of charge or directly at the car park on the Gebhardsberg - for a fee) via the Fluh to the Pfänder. - Here you can expect a wonderful panorama over and on clear days over the valley and into the Bregenzerwald. The "Gelb-Weiße-Weg" (Yellow- White Path) leads mostly through wooded areas and steadily uphill quite comfortably, everything is very well signposted. Start from the Gebhardsberg in the direction of Fluh - you can either take the "Känzeleweg" here or if you start from the Landesbibliothek below the Gebhardsberg follow the signs in the direction of "Fluh". Past the car park on the Fluh, there is a turn-off to the left onto the Pfänder. Here a wide gravel path leads through partly wooded area directly to the Pfänder.

When you arrive at the Pfänder, you can take a break at the Pfänderdohle Inn, for example. At the top station there is a viewing platform with comfortable benches where you can sunbathe and relax. - To return, take the same route to the Fluh, past the Fluh car park - if you wish, you can take the turnoff to the left after the car park in the direction of "Gebhardsberg/Känzeleweg" - once you reach the Gebhardsberg, it is only a few metres back to the car park opposite the State Library. But before you walk back to your car, take some time to enjoy the view from the Gebhardsberg - here is an old castle ruin, which now is home to a restaurant, there is also a viewing platform.
