Offering the practicality of an SUV, the dynamic design of an Audi coupe and versatility for exploring just about any road, the Audi Q8 integrates innovative technology and premium design to deliver the features customers expect from a luxury performance SUV. For the 2020 model year, the Audi Q8 gains new standard equipment and is joined by the 500-horsepower Audi SQ8, and the high-performance Audi RS Q8 spearheads the model line, which boasts the current production SUV Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack record1.
Performance, Chassis and Suspension • The Audi Q8 features a 3.0-liter TFSI® V6 engine, which generates 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Audi Q8 to sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds2. The Audi SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-liter TFSI® V8 engine with 500 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, providing 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.3 seconds2.The Audi RS Q8 comes powered by a 4.0-liter TFSI® V8, capable of producing 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque with an estimated 0-60 acceleration time of 3.7 seconds2 and a top track speed of 190 mph when8 equipped with RS ceramic brakes. • All models are paired with a smooth-shifting eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission, routing power 40:60 front to rear with quattro® all-wheel drive in normal operation. • Available adaptive air suspension allows for adjustment of both the ride height and the firmness of the air dampers and adds both an allroad and a lift/offroad mode2, which can raise the air suspension for increased ground clearance. Models also feature available active roll stabilization and all-wheel steering, which can reduce turning radius and increase agility at low speeds or aid higher-speed stability. • The RS model features standard adaptive air suspension with controlled damping allowing the large SUV to be equally at home on most any road3. Its RS-specific damper tuning offers drivers a choice between long-distance comfort and high performance. All-wheel steering comes standard with the RS Q8.
Design • Audi Q8 models provide ample space for up to five passengers, and with the rear seats folded, the Audi Q8 offers a class-leading cargo capacity15 of 60.7 cubic feet. • The Audi Q8’s dynamic roofline ends in gently inclined D-pillars, which are supported by the wide, pronounced wheel arches, paying homage to the vehicle’s quattro DNA and creating an unmistakable Audi silhouette. • The orientation of the interior is angled toward the driver, creating a driver-centric cockpit, complemented by a three dimensional architecture that surrounds the standard MMI® touch response system. 3 • Audi SQ8 and Audi RS Q8 models carry unique Singleframe® grille and front and rear fascia elements, denoting their higher performance capabilities. Audi SQ8 models feature a unique rear diffuser with quad exhaust outlets, while RS Q8 models sport signature RS model dual oval exhaust.
Technology and Infotainment • The MMI touch response® system3 consists of two large, high-resolution touch displays that feature both haptic and acoustic feedback. Natural-language control allows drivers to speak requests such as, “I'm hungry” to which the Audi Q8 will suggest nearby restaurants.4 • Additional technology features include standard Audi virtual cockpit, available Audi phone box5, available full-color head-up display (standard on Audi Q8 Prestige models) and two optional sound systems from Bang & Olufsen: Standard on Premium Plus and Prestige models is a Bang & Olufsen Premium 3D Sound System. Available on Prestige models is the Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System, which delivers nearly true-to-life surround sound through 23 speakers.4
Latest Updates • The Audi Q8 Premium trim now has standard high-beam assist, lane departure warning6, the vehicle immobilizer with an added anti-theft alarm system with a motion sensor, and Audi virtual cockpit plus. The Black optic package adds Black optic exterior trim, black roof rails and 21-inch 5-W-spoke bi-color design wheels with all-season tires16. • The available S line style package adds 21-inch bi-color wheels with all-season tires16, an S line exterior kit, S line illuminated door sills, S line fender badges. To take sporty features one step further, the S line plus package adds a Black optic exterior, Singleframe® mask in black, black roof rails, 22-inch Audi Sport 5-V-spoke star-design wheels in black with all-season tires16, and red brake calipers. • The available Luxury package for Prestige trims now includes a premium air quality feature with ionizer and fragrance options and extends leather to the upper part of the instrument panel including the heads-up display trim, armrests, upper door rails (front and rear), and the center console. 3 Audi Q8 2020 Press Kit – Exterior Styling
