Power Flying

This is an opportunity for cadets to be introduced to a Power Flying club and complete an introductory flight. Space is limited so it will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

1. Date: Sunday 10th March 2013

2. Timings: 1000hrs – 1600hrs

2. Location: Aviation Sports Club, Power Flying section, Whenuapai Airfield, RNZAF Base Auckland. (The club is situated on the flight line next to Fire Flight, access via Whenuapai main gate. Refer to attached map.)

4. Costs: $70.00 payable on the day. If paying by cheque make cheques out to ‘The Base Welfare Fund’. The clubroom also has an EFTPOS terminal and also takes cash.

5. Medical / A Medical slip is attached. Hand this into the support committee either on or before the Permission: 7th March 2013

Ensure page 4 of the cadets RNZAF 3822 (Record of Service booklet) is signed. This booklet must be signed and carried on the cadet’s person on the day.

6. Uniform: Wear comfortable civilian clothing, with closed toe shoes.

7. Equipment Bring a water bottle, sunglasses etc.

This information will be destroyed at the conclusion of the activity. Any injuries incurred by a cadet on this exercise requiring medical attention are at the cost of his/her parent or guardian.

If a cadet is sick on the day of an activity it is best for them not to attend to stop illness from spreading. Inform the emergency contact if a cadet will not be attending.

Flying will be held at the Whenuapai Aviation Sports Club club rooms on the Whenuapai Airfield flight line. Access is from the Whenuapai Airfield main gate.
