ATR VERDICT: MARITO appeared to be in the process of running a big race prior to crashing out in the Jewson Novices' Chase at the last month and, returned to hurdles, he rates a most interesting proposition for the Willie Mullins stable. Clar Na Mionn comes into this in really good form having backed up his Cork maiden hurdle win with a good third in handicap company back there last month, while English raider Malt Master has been going well over fences recently. There should be better to come still from Rye Martini, with the talented Frawley also interesting in a wide-open contest as he returns from another long lay-off.

Lightly raced, we might not have seen the best of this one just yet and underfoot conditions should be just fine for him. Paddy O Dee tends to come alive at this time of year and his two recent hurdle wins at Downpatrick illustrate what good heart he has been in of late, while Barneys Honour warmed up for this with an easy win over hurdles at Wexford only six days ago. Plan A and class-dropper Twinlight also warrant respect.

Bostons Angel was behind the selection at Prestury Park but he enjoys a handy swing in the weights with that rival today and is clearly a classy performer. Star Neuville was last seen contesting a Leopardstown Grade 1 in February so merits obvious respect here, while Outlaw Pet and last year's winner Uncle Junior are others worth considering.

ATR VERDICT: QUEVEGA has won the last three runnings of this race and, while her last defeat came here at the hands of Solwhit in the back in 2009, she makes most appeal in receipt of 7lb from the boys. Charles Byrnes' charge couldn't be arriving in better form following success in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham and the Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree (Holywell second), but Willie Mullins' brilliant mare has been freshened up since landing an unprecedented fifth Mares' Hurdle at Prestbury Park and she's taken to come out on top in what is likely to prove a ding-dong battle to the line.

ATR VERDICT: There is enough in WHISPERING HILLS' form book to suggest this mark of 127 is feasible and Dessie Hughes' charge is fancied to put up a big performance if over his Fairyhouse fall last month. Not disgraced when fourth behind Inish Island in a Clonmel Grade 3 the time before, the son of Tiger Hill is clearly held in high regard at home and might just appreciate this better ground. Call Rog went on to score in that race at Fairyhouse and he's up 9lb as a result, while Cork winner Acapulco is another interesting contender for Edward O'Grady and it is encouraging for his supporters to see the in-form Barry Geraghty keep the ride.

ATR VERDICT: Arvika Ligeonniere wouldn't be without a chance for leading connections if putting a disappointing Arkle performance behind him, while Arkle second Baily Green is better than what his performance suggested in the Maghull at Aintree 19 days ago. Special Tiara went on to land that Grade 1 novice event for Henry De Bromhead, out-battling a useful yardstick in the shape of Overturn in the process, but Grand Annual hero ALDERWOOD looked the one to take from the race and he can reverse the form on this easier ground. He appeared to get slightly outpaced when the race began to unfold on good ground at the Liverpool track, but he stayed on in determined fashion and will be suited by more of a test now returning to home soil. Benefficient adds further spice to an intriguing contest and the Jewson winner (form franked through Dynaste in the Grade 2 Mildmay at Aintree) is also respected.

ATR VERDICT: Twigline was by no means disgraced when half-a-length second to Missunited in a Limerick Grade 3 last month and she's earned a rating of 130, the highest of these novices going to post. She's entitled to have improved again and should be thereabouts at the business end, but her less exposed stablemate UPSIE (twice a bumper winner in France) makes most appeal and was highly impressive when making a successful hurdling bow at Naas on her debut for the Irish champion trainer. J.P McManus' silks will also be sported aboard the hat-trick-seeking Speckled Wood and she warrants respect on the back of an easy win in a Clonmel handicap last month.

Turnandgo could hardly have been more impressive when justifying cramped odds at Clonmel last month and Willie Mullins' inmate is another for the shortlist with improvement expected. For all QUICKPICK VIC looks the most exposed at first look, Tony Martin's charge will have learnt plenty from his experience in the Grade 2 Champion Standard Open Bumper at Aintree 19 days ago and the Naas winner could be on offer at generous odds.
