Instructions I don’t know about you, but I love a really good hearty cheeseburger. Most of the time when we are at camp, the ‘guys’ are usually in charge of the grill. I wanted to have some fun creating a cheeseburger in a Dutch Oven (DO) and Ingredients this recipe couldn't have come out any better!! Literally every bite is cheeseburger heaven!! 1 1/2 Pounds of Ground Burger

 Step 1-Start coals or a fire to cook bacon & hamburger 1 Pound Bacon  Step 2-Cut up bacon in bite size pieces & cook until almost crisp. Remove from oven & drain grease. 1 Small Red Onion Brown burger in same oven & remove from oven. 3-4 Roma Tomatoes  Step 3-Start more coals about 24-30  Step 4-Place a tortilla in the bottom of the DO. This Ketchup & Mustard is optional but it helps to keep the crust from burning & sticking to the bottom of the oven. You wont need 2 Cups Shredded to grease the oven because you will have enough seasoning from the hamburger & bacon. Roll out pizza 1 Refrigerated Tube Pizza Crust dough & press in bottom of DO. 1 Box Pizza Crust mix

1 Flour Tortilla

Crisco or Spray

 Step 5-Time to add the ingredients! Dump in burger Equipment & Bacon. Squeeze ketchup & mustard over (amount to taste) Add diced onions, tomatoes & pickles.  Step 5-Pour pizza crust mix in a bowl & add just enough water to make it runny. Use about 1/2-1 cup to make it the consistency of batter. Top with shredded cheese. Notes  When I am camping I don’t like to fuss with a lot of prep work. For a recipe like this I do all the prep work at home and put the pre-cut veggies and pre-cooked meat in Ziploc bags and I am ready to cook in an instant.  You can omit the cheese for the first 15 minutes of baking so the pizza crust mix will bake more thoroughly.

 This recipe can be modified to your tastes. If you like spicy try pepper jack cheese. Once I ran out of ketch- up and used barbeque sauce. Next  Step 6-Time to bake! For a 12” oven arrange a circle of 10 time I make this I am going to try a coals (2 in the middle) on a safe surface like a metal oil pan or buffalo chicken….hmmm, stay tuned inside a fire ring & place DO on top. Place lid on top (do not I will just have to put together my line up steam vents) add a circle of 14 coals on top of lid (2-3 next Pinterest pin!! in the middle) Bake for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes turn the  A general rule of thumb for lid & line up the steam vents. Turn the whole oven ½ way in with charcoal is to use 2 less coals the opposite direction you turned the lid to evenly distribute than the size of the oven on the heat. Bake for 10-15 more minutes. If pizza mixture is still bottom and 2 more coals than the gooey, add 4 more coals on top and bake for 5-10 more size of the oven on top. For a 12” minutes. oven you will use 10 coals on the bottom and 14 on top.  Step 5-Slice like a pizza & enjoy!!  Coals should still have some black on them or they will burn out too quickly.
