A certain crispness to the weather. Volleyball, soccer, football, water polo, basketball and cross country all in full swing. Yes, fall is in the air. And it’s during this time of year that I often find myself in a reflective mood. While some of this whimsy can be easily attributed to the upcoming holidays, INSIDE THIS ISSUE WiNTeR 2014-15 on a personal level, it has more to do with the start of my journey at UCLA. Cover Photo by Don Liebig What's discouraging is that much of what we hear from pundits these days ranges from skepticism to downright cynicism in regard to just how much 'student' exists in the term 'student-athlete.'
