The food they eat on Thanksgiving usually varies depending upon their cultural background. The typical American Thanksgiving consists of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, biscuits, green bean casserole, gravy, and cranberry sauce. A traditional pie is usually served as a dessert. A Chinese favorite traditional dessert on Thanksgiving is a mooncake. A mooncake is a flaky pastry that is stuffed with a sweet or savory filling. The main traditional dish for a Korean Thanksgiving is Songpyeon, a rice, kneaded into little cakes and filled with beans and chestnuts. The Everlasting Cultural Appropriation American Debate By: Joshua Archibald The terrorist attack in Las Vegas in October added fuel to the never-ending debate about gun regulation. I doubt most people disagree with the notion that we should prevent mass death; the dispute is about methodology rather than principle. So I submit the following logic for your analysis. Between the Columbine, Virginia Tech, Newtown, San Bernardino, Charleston, Orlando, and Las Vegas shootings, the shooters’ backgrounds varied. There is no fully accurate profile of a shooter; some don’t have a criminal record or a history of mental health issues. The one commonality between these tragedies is the presence of a firearm.
