Day 1: Cedric Dubler and Ashley 100m Run, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, Moloney show true Aussie 400m Run. Day 2: 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, 1500m Run. Particular care for spirit at the Tokyo Olympics Cedric’s hamstring needed to be taken in Long Jump and Hurdles. He passed them very well. However, Cedric didn't pass the Pole Vault, which meant he could have abandoned the games, like Damian Warner (Canada) did at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. But no, Cedric decided to continue! He teamed up with Ash, who was by now one of the leading three athletes. Together they worked out a strategy to get Ash in-time in the 1500m race to win the Bronze medal. Cedric acted as a pacer for Ash and roared at him to speed up at the end, to beat the other 2 bronze medal contenders by a few seconds. What a show of true Aussie mateship. Plus it is the first olympic Cedric Dubler urges Ashley Moloney on in the final medal for Australian decathlon! Huge congrats event of the decathlon. Picture: Getty Images to Ash for winning and to Cedric for helping! SSQ member Cedric Dubler finished his Cedric’s selfless act was immediately praised on Olympic Decathlon in a way nobody could have mainstream media and this subsequently went viral predicted. -

Volume XXXXIV Number 37 October (1), 2019 WARNER LEADS MAYER Canadian holds 30 point lead at Worlds in Doha. Hello Again……The weather at the IAAF World Championships was both predictable and consistent…..hot. Even with a mid- morning start, temps pushed past 77 degrees in the air controlled stadium. For those with CE background…. outside the stadium… well…think Austin or Sacramento. The starting times were placed well back in the day to beat the appeal to USA television and the decathlon was slotted for a 4:35 pm (local Doha time) start on October 2nd. The final event of day two is actually scheduled for the early morning of day 3(!), making this meet At the break in Doha Canadian Damian Warner (above) the first major international actually held a slim lead over teammate Pierce LePage, defending scheduled over a three day calendar period champ Kevin Mayer and Lindon Victor of the Santa since the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. Barbara Track Club. The US was without Olympians Zach Ziemek and and Jeremy Taiwo. The former IAAF World Champs was injured in des Moines, the latter denied Doha, Qatar entry. October 2-3, 2019 Although defending champ Kevin Mayer stood third behind vet Damian Warner, Day 1, Wednesday after five events, he was still the favorite 100 Meters: [4:35 pm local time] given 2nd day skills…think vault and javelin. The first section was captured by Yet this was not the Kevin Mayer we saw a Estonian Janek Oiglane in a PR 10.94 while th year ago in Talence when he ran up a WR ex NCAA champ Maicel Uibo was 4 in a SB 9126 score. -
