Issue: 59 th WEEKLY ‘HEAD’-LINES Friday 28 February 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

There are a lot of experiences ready for the next five weeks as we move towards Easter.

Second mock exams are underway for our exam groups in KS4 this week and attendance was strong, with 10 more weeks of school to drive to the GCSE’s. We are very impressed with the attitude of Year 11 on their return.

Our whole school assembly focused on ‘Integrity’ yesterday, which is one of our five values. It is great to see our community doing the right things around school so we can all focus on learning and enjoying learning.

The next Futures Week is coming soon with a focus on STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Year 9 will be the main focus with a Science fair, but all year groups will experience something, with a number of trips to universities and local employers, including Aico, who we are proud to work with closely.

We are also celebrating World Book Day with a dress up day on Friday 6th March for students who wish to join in with the staff. This is not a non-uniform day. Students not dressed as a book character should be in full uniform.
