Part I 1. The Principal’s Report (2 pages)- Highlights the key activities, events, and successes of the past year and briefly describes major new initiatives to be undertaken over the next year. This college is started in 1964 under a local trust shiksha prasarak samiti. In 1973 it was taken over by MP. GOVT. and it is became GOVT. COLLEGE, SENDHWA. Initially only available courses were B.A. & B.Com. In 1982 B.Sc. Bio & B.Sc. Maths courses were also introduced. Increasing strength of the students with loud able accomplishments in academic, curricular, co-curricular activities have added a feather to the cap college which having 9 acre campus area. In order to locate and chisel the talent of the students various opportunities are made available to them by organising debate, oratory, essay, and sports events as well. We aim to introducing many new courses, such as Graduation with biotechnology, Computer Science and art and Commerce with Computers. P. G. Courses are M.A., M.COM., M.SC. MSW . Digitalization of college library with the facility of computer, printer and photo copier is also started in 2013 so as to keep the staff and the students abreast expanding and exploding frontiers of knowledge. 1. Teaching:- There are available following courses for teaching to students in this colleges. such as Plain Commerce and Computer Application in B.Com, Mathematics, Biology, Biotech and Computer Science in B.Sc. at UG Level & Economics, Political Scinece, hindi geography in M.A., M.Com, and Social Work in M.S.W., M. Sc. In Chemistry and Botany at PG Level. 2. N.S.S.:- NSS Unit is established from the begaining of college. About 327 students is registered in unit. 3. N.C.C.:- New NCC unit is established from 2012-13. 53 students is registered in unit. 19 GIRLS 34 BOYS 4. Red Cross:- The unit also organizes seminar conferece and competition program, workshop for mind power. 5. Library:- There is a library in this college. there are more than 40000 books available for students in this college. various subject and reference books to related concern subject. The library has free wi-fi zone facility and photocopy machine available for students. 6. Sports:- The sport unit organizes various event in every year like as football, cricket, volleyball, basketball and Indoor Games at divisional level. 7. Carrier Guidelines:- Carrier guidelines program is available for all students cell organized special lectures, Training and many motivation programs. Placement cell has collection of eligible students for jobs. It also organizes job campus. 8. Personality Development Cell:- Personality development cell is working from 2014-15. The cell organize program as per calender each month. Cell organize special lectures by guest faculty of various fields. 9. Vartual Class:- Virtual class is established by govt. of M.P. Higher education Department, Bhopal. vartual class starts at 10.15 AM to 1.30 PM daily for various class students as per schedule time table. 10.Research:- Institutitue has rich faculty in departments. We are having 3 phd guides. Minor reaseach projects also done and running in institute.

The vision and mission of the institution is “TAMSO MAA JYOTIRGAMAY”. Students are trained to discover their hidden power of mind, spirit and body. The curricular of the college includes various disciplines of social and physical sciences. Through the teaching of these disciplines the college endeavors to sharpen rational and logical abilities among its students so that they will follow the path of truth and become true citizens learned human of the country. Our commitment to dynamism and progression is a continuous process and we blend the traditional and the modern techniques of teaching so that the students learn to develop a creative thought process, which enables rational and a logical approach towards academics.

The college has a special status also because of the large proportion of the SC,ST and OBC students , not only from Sendhwa , but also from villages nearby .Under the guidance of Dept. of higher education and Janbhagidari Samiti. It is sure that the college will establish. High standards in higher education.
