SKATE CELJE 2011 INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

ASSOCIATED WITH EUROPEAN CRITERIUM 2011/2012 ( Celje, November 9 th to 13 th 2011)

Organizer: Skating Club Celje and Slovene Skating Union

Place of competition: Covered Ice Rink (30 x 60 m), not heated at Mestni park, Partizanska 3a, Celje

Competition level: International competition is associated in European Criterium Tournaments 2011/12 for Juniors and Youngsters´ categories. Results of the Teams will count for competition of International Trophy of Figure Skating European Criterium.

Entries: All ISU members and clubs, members of National Figure Skating Federations associated in I.S.U., are invited to take part at the competition. Each member and club can enter 2 competitors in each category (2 males and 2 females). Organizing union and club takes right to enter more competitors. The number of competitors could be reduced in case of more than 30 entries in one category or problems to make competition in time schedule.

BASIC NOV.B (DEBS), girls born in 1998; BASIC NOV.B (DEBS) , girls born in 1999 In Accordance to I.S.U Communication No: 1649, except age. Free programs, 3min +\-10 sec

BASIC NOV.B (DEBS), boys born in 1998/99 In Accordance to I.S.U Communication No: 1649, except age. Free programs, 3min +\-10 sec

A well balanced CUBS Program must contain:

a. Maximum of 4 jump elements for Girls and maximum of 5 jump elements for Boys one of which must be an Axel type jump and there may be up to two (2) jump combinations or sequences. Jump combination can contain only two (2) jumps. A jump sequence can contain any number of jumps, but only two most difficult jumps will be counted. Only two (2) jumps with more then one and a half (1 ½) revolutions can be repeated either in a jump combination or jump sequence. b. There must be maximum (2) spins of a different nature, one of which must be a spin combination (with or without change of foot) and one spin in one position (with or without change of foot). c. There must be a maximum of one (1) utilization 2/3 of the ice surface and one (1) spiral of 3 seconds.

Levels explanations: For Advanced Novice Singles, in all elements which are subject to Levels, only features up to Level 2 will be counted. Any additional features will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. The Program Components are only judged in • Skating Skills • Performance/Execution • Interpretation The factors for the Program Components is - for boys 2.0 - for girls 1.7

The same ISU Rules regarding judging, refereeing and the work of the Technical Panel apply as in Junior and Senior International Competitions.

A well balanced CHICKS Free Skating Program must contain:

Calculation of results: Results for CHICKS, CUBS, SPRINGS, DEBS, ADVANCED NOVICES and JUNIORS will be calculated in the new ISU Judging System.

Judges: Each invited member or club which can enter one or more International Judge or Judge for I.S.U. Championships. Full board expenses in the Hotel Evropa**** will be covered by organizer

SKATE CELJE 2011 from dinner on November 9 th until lunch on November 13 th 2011 or in the time when the Judge will judge. Written confirmation will be sent to each club by entries via fax or E-mail.

Expenses: Organizer covers the expenses of competition, awards and presents ; Transfer expenses to and from Celje and accommodation will not be covered by the organizer. Except for invited judges organizer will cover accommodation in Hotel Evropa****.

In the case when the member or club entry one or more Judges, organizer covers the expenses for full board for Team Leader or Coach for the time when Judge to judge.

Music: Music will be reproduced from CD. CD must be labelled by names of competitors, club and category which they enter. CD must be deliverd immediately after team´s arrival to Organizing Committee Office.

Accommodation: All participants, except judges, pay the accommodation by themselves. Organizer reserved facilities at official hotels:

2/ HOTEL ŠTORMAN ***,Mariborska c. 3, 3000 Celje, website: www.storman.si , e-mail: [email protected] - where B/B service is available for from 31 EUR-adult, 27 EUR-children per person per day (two bed rooms). Hotel is only 500m far from the Ice Rink, so shuttle transfers will not be provided.

3/ HOTEL FARAON ***, Ljubljanska c. 39, 3000 Celje, website: www.hotel-faraon.si , e-mail: [email protected] - where B/B service is available for 30 EUR-adult, 18 EUR-children per person per day (two bed rooms). Hotel is 800m far from the Ice Rink, so shuttle transfers will not be provided.

4/ HOTEL GRANDE***, Bezigrajska c.7, 3000 Celje, website : www.hotelgrande.si , e-mail: [email protected] - where B/B service is 35 EUR per person per day ( one or two bed room). Hotel is cca 1200m far away from ice rink.

5/ DIJAŠKI DOM (Youth hostel), Ljubljanska c. 21, 3000 Celje, website: www.ddcelje.si , e-mail: [email protected] - where B/B service is for 21 EUR per person per day ( two bed rooms). Hostel is only 400m far from the Ice Rink, so shuttle transfers will not be provided.

6/ MCC HOSTEL (Youth hostel), Mariborska c. 2, 3000 Celje, website: www.mc-celje.si , e-mail: [email protected] - where B/B service is for 24 EUR per person per day ( two bed rooms). Hostel is only 400m far from the Ice Rink, so shuttle transfers will not be provided.

Accommodation in hotels and Youth hostel must be booked by each member or club directly and at the end, paid in the hotel.

Responsibility: In accordance to I.S.U. Regulations, Rule 119, all participants act on their own responsibility. Organizer will provide medical emergency aid during competition.

Awards: The first three best placed competitors in each event will be awarded by special presents, others by diplomas. The best placed team will be awarded by Cup.

Duties: All participating clubs should provide their all best placed competitors to take part at final Ice Show at the end of competition and all present competitors to take part at the Opening Ceremony.

Deadline for entries: All entries (competitors, judges, team leaders, coaches, other attendants) are expected to be mailed recommended and received at organizer´s address not later then by th October 23 2011 . If possible fax or E-mail entries are appreciated.

With the entry forms, the “Program Content Sheet” for Chicks, Cubs, Springs, Debs, Novices and Juniors groups must be returned to the Organizing Committee in time. It is mandatory that the Program Content Sheet must be filled in precisely by each Skater in English using terminology for the elements listed in the respective ISU Communication.

Charges: 35 EUR is to be paid for each competitor at the Registration before the competition.

Office of Organizing Committee will be located at the Ice Rink and will be on disposal from Wednesday, November 3 rd and Saturday, November 6 th during the competition and practice time. 2. Participating teams should announce changes in their teams immediately after their arrival to Celje. 3. Celje can be reached by car and train from , Trieste, Munich, Zagreb and by plane to Airports in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Trieste, Venezia, Wien and Graz.
