Policy, Advocacy and Governance

India is a welfare state where the government has the supreme responsibility for the welfare of its citizens. In our country, there are many acts and schemes that are put in place for the development of the poor and marginalized communities. Though the government is doing its bit in the implementation of these policies, many a times there are major pitfalls owing to our large population, lack of proper administration, poor political willpower and many other controllable and uncontrollable factors. Therefore, there is a need to remind the government authorities and give them a little push, as also the required support and cooperation, from time to time. GSMT, therefore, undertakes policy advocacy and governance programmes to make the government as also the citizens collectively responsive for development.

Kisan Mitra network of 15 NGOs have initiated efforts towards generation of livelihood means for the farmers with focus on economically viable and sustainable agriculture. We are implementing this program in 60 Villages of Wani,Zari and Maregaon Block for livelihood of 3000+ families.
