Whaling Museum celebrates ‘Whales Today’ exhibit with Navy Day

The New Bedford Whaling Museum celebrated the opening of their new exhibit entitled “Whales Today” with a Navy Day on Feb. 23. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport contributed a variety of displays designed to highlight NUWC Newport’s and the Navy’s efforts in marine environment enhancement and the protection of marine mammals on Navy ranges and near Navy operational exercises. Naval Health Clinic New England (NHCNE) held a traditional cake cutting celebration to recognize the Medical Corps staff as well as reading a letter of congratulations from the Navy Surgeon General, and staff members from the Nurse Corps, Medical Service Corps, Hospital Corps, Dental Corps, and Civilian Corps read letters from their leaders thanking the Medical Corps for their contributions to Navy Medicine. Today, more than 3,700 active duty and reserve doctors serve with the Navy throughout the world, providing exemplary care to Sailors, Marines and their families. Capt. William Mann and Lt.
