Liverpool College offers high quality teaching by well-trained staff who support the ethos of learning and understanding whilst promoting the academic excellence for which Liverpool College is well known. Your progress will be carefully monitored throughout your time at Liverpool College. The tutor groups are small and intimate and the atmosphere in the College is welcoming and friendly. When you are 16 plus in the UK you can enter Year 12 to study A Levels. A level study is a two year programme. A Levels give you an opportunity to specialise and you should choose subjects that will help you prepare for your chosen degree choice. We can discuss and give you advice about your subjects when we interview you. In addition to A Levels you will also undertake and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This provides an opportunity for you to extend your abilities beyond the A-level syllabus, stand out and prepare for university or your future career. It can also be used to earn extra UCAS points.

n Contact Sally Loveridge and she will send you the application forms and information booklet. n Submit your application by end February 2019 if possible. n You will then take an on-line English test and should score minimum B2. n Mrs Loveridge will then arrange for you to have a skype conversation with the Head of Sixth Form to discuss what you would like to take for A Levels and give you the chance to ask questions. n If you are able to visit we would be delighted to meet you and show you round. 05 Boarding at Liverpool College

You will live in our boarding houses and will have your own spacious, fully equipped single room with with en-suite bathroom, ample storage, telephone and Internet access. You have access to a modern, well ­equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and two common rooms for recreation and study. You can use the College’s facilities in the evenings and weekends including the health club and gym. Our boarding community is small so you receive individual support from the boarding staff. We are a small family and you will build strong friendships within the boarding community. We have an excellent diversity of nationalities in the boarding houses and boarders are fully integrated into the life of the College. The Independent Schools Inspectorate gave our boarding an excellent report showing that we provide a caring and supportive environment for you to live and study in. 06 Boarding at Liverpool College

You will enjoy three meals a day in the modern College dining room. We understand you are away from home and the chef will make sure you get some good home cooked food. In boarding at weekends there is a range of activities and trips that are on offer. Trips include York, Alton Towers, London and Manchester as well as enjoying what Liverpool has to offer and socialising with your friends in the city. We will help you to prepare for and apply to the University of your choice. The Principal of Liverpool College, your teachers and your tutor work as a team to give you individual help, advice and support. We also have a dedicated member of staff for careers advice and higher education guidance. You will experience lectures at Liverpool University, attend university Open Days, have mock interviews and receive guidance with personal statements. You will have the opportunity to take GCSE English and Maths if you do not have the equivalent and you may take IELTS if it is necessary for your university application. Liverpool College celebrated 99% success rate in A levels in 2018. Our top boarding performer secured A* AAA grades to secure his place at University College London to read Economics. Three of our Year 13 students gained places at Oxford and Cambridge. A quarter of our students achieved A*-A grades, 56% achieved A*-B grades and 81% achieved A*-C grades.
