Local teachers get jabs as infections rise in province

The drive to vaccinate more than 125 934 workers in the education sector in Gauteng between June 23 and July 8 kicked off in Pretoria this week. This as teachers made their way to various vaccination sites to get their jabs. MEC Panyaza Lesufi said while vaccination was voluntary, the health department highly recommended that all those in the sector get vaccinated. “It is very important that we protect our educators,” said Lesufi .
