Some practices offer an enhanced service including drop in clinics aimed specifically at young people.

Pharmacy Virtually all community pharmacies in Cumbria provide emergency hormonal contraception (EHC) and chlamydia screening postal packs. This is a vital service which increases access to EHC, particularly at times when specialist and primary care services may be closed.

C-Card Scheme The C-Card scheme is currently provided via Inspira in both urban and rural settings. Cumbria County Council is exploring options for commissioning a condom distribution scheme, subject to cost implications. It is hoped this will allow continued access to advice and support for young people, particularly in rural settings.

Postal Chlamydia Testing Kit Young people aged 15-24 are also able to request a postal kit by texting BEST to 82540
