P. P. Cyprus New GLOCK Recruit purchased my very first GLOCK about five months Iago and am proud to have become a GSSF member. I am a US Marine in North Carolina, and my commanding officer believes in teaching his Marines to be proficient with a pistol. And, of all the Marines he has introduced to IPSC and the art of pistol shooting, I am proud that so far I am the only Marine to never experience a jam or malfunction. My G23 is a fine weapon, and after reading your article in The GLOCK Report, “The GLOCK That Rose Again,” it is reassuring that the G23 will be there for me in any conditions and environments I am in. Thank you for making such a fine weapon—I cannot wait for Prior to purchasing our GLOCKs we did extensive my first GSSF match. research on the various handguns available. We not only wanted a dependable , we wanted a safe one as well. In addition to purchasing our GLOCKs, we also purchased a safe in which to store them as we have 4 children in the house. It was our goal to take great care in teaching our children about gun safety. We both work together in teaching them the proper ways in which to handle firearms. It is our firm belief that it is a parent’s responsibility to educate their children as well as keep their weapons locked away out of harm’s way. In the back of our minds is always the threat that we might someday lose our right to bear arms. We hope to never see that day so that we may continue to enjoy our GLOCKs for many generations. Our choice of firearm is GLOCK because it is not only the most reliable gun on the market, but it is the safest! E. I. K. and G. R. North Carolina New York State

page Eight © GLOCK, 2002 The GLOCK Report® / Volume III, 2002 model for the model that I really wanted with very little trouble. I’m now the proud owner of a G21 in .45 caliber. I love it and shoot it at every opportunity. This past weekend in Spokane, Washington the Can- Am Police/Fire Games were held. Since I am a Canadian Customs officer, I entered the competition and had a terrific weekend of shooting and talking to other officers who are armed by GLOCK. In six events, I won one bronze, two silver and two gold medals. Yes! I was a happy shooter—two of those events—Duty Pistol and Distinguished Semi-Auto earned one silver and one gold respectively. That G21 is one heck of a fine gun. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve not had one misfire, failure to feed or eject. It eats everything that I feed it and puts them right where I point it. As a matter of fact, I have a sneaky feeling that my G21 is a whole lot more accurate than I am. Your product is a great one. It feels good in my hand; points naturally; chambers and fires everything I put Starting Early into it and is accurate as all get-out. Thanks, GLOCK hooting the GSSF matches has surely become a folks—a silver and a gold medal are now hanging on S family affair. My husband began shooting them in my wall because of your fine product. 1996; I started when we began dating in 1999 and we compete twice a year as a married couple at the Dallas G. D. and San Antonio matches here in Texas. But recently Surrey, Canada, BC we’ve been bringing a new Junior Shooter with us to pass on our commitment to the shooting sports. Thus far, she’s attended 3 GSSF matches. This may not seem too remarkable or that unusual, since we certainly see many couples and families enjoying the matches. But what is unique about our circumstances is that our new Junior Shooter is only 7 months old! She began attending the matches while I was still pregnant with her (though I didn’t shoot that tournament, upon doctor’s recommendation only), and she’s been going with us ever since. Her second match was the wet and cold San Antonio December 2001 match and her most recent was the 2002 Dallas match. We plan to take her to the inaugural Schreveport match this year. We’re certainly excited to introduce her to the shooting sports, and look forward to her winning the Junior Female category once she’s old enough to understand and master all of the safety elements. Good shooting!

Also, it bears mention that we all backed up our team competition with good scores in the Open class. Although these scores were not with GLOCK pistols (because you could use any gun), there is no reason to believe that the same scores could not be achieved with the GLOCK. In the Open I took honors with a 284-9X. One of my fellow officers backed me up in second place with a 283-5X, and the other finished in 5th place overall with a 279. All in all, it was a good day, and it was very rewarding to place so well against the best law enforcement shooters across the Upper Peninsula. I wanted you to know how admirably the GLOCK performed. page Ten © GLOCK, 2002 The GLOCK Report® / Volume III, 2002 In the GLOCK Annuals I have read about GSSF, and I wondered if I could join GSSF here in the Netherlands too? So I started writing. Great was my surprise when you sent me the membership card, the GLOCK Report and the GSSF hat. The boys and girls of our gun club will be jealous now. I look forward to the next GLOCK Report and I proudly promote my GLOCKs here in the Netherlands! Lots of Greetings, from a happy Dutch GLOCKer.

W. V. The Netherlands Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Something GLOCK??? y husband and I are avid GLOCK shooters. We M always go to our local GLOCK shoot and we have even travelled to Florida for one. When I first met my husband I already knew GLOCK was the gun for me. My husband didn’t care for them at first. After my first GLOCK purchase he tried it and loved it. He bought one after another and couldn’t get enough of them. When it came time for our wedding, I bought him the 10th Anniversary Commemorative pistol. He was thrilled that I bought him a wedding gift like that. Since we love our GLOCKs so much, I thought it would be Like GLOCKwork fitting to surprise my husband and our guests with a ost of my military career I carried the 1911 45 G27 hidden in my garter. What a surprise it was! Mcaliber as my sidearm. The 45 has and always will be my favorite handgun. My first impression of the S. & B. H. GLOCK was that it looked like a toy gun. Still not trusting New Hampshire a gun without a side safety or hammer, I bought many handguns and fired many different ones. One day a friend and I went to a range to shoot with his G22 and my Sig. After the first volley we traded guns just to see the difference in shooting. To my amazement his was much lighter and fit my hand quite well. Like a Swiss watch, the GLOCK is a well-made, easy to handle, easy to clean handgun. I recently purchased a G21 which I am well pleased with, so much so that I would recommend a GLOCK to anyone for an all-purpose handgun.

H. F. Alabama Greetings from the Netherlands n the Netherlands, it is not as easy to get a firearm I permit as in the USA. So if you get a permit you want to have a gun that is one of the best that is avail- able. After some testing I found GLOCK is very good for me. The more I shoot the gun, the more I like it. Now I have won a G17 and a G21.

I told him that I did not feel the GLOCK Illinois was suitable for law enforcement because it had no external safety. Gary stated “This is a pure combat handgun.” Boy, was he right. I started shooting GLOCKs even before my agency started using them. I am a GSSF member and I enjoy the GLOCK matches along with shooting IPSC. As you can tell by the picture of my personal GLOCK cabinet I am sold on the GLOCK pistol. “First they fired us, then they hired us.”

We Love Our GLOCKs am enclosing a photograph that shows the GLOCKs I that I, my boyfriend and his brother have collected over the past three months. I purchased the G19 last winter for personal protection, but sport shooting has turned out to be a very fun hobby for all three of us. We have four GLOCKs among us, including my original G19, a G17, and two G34s. We are constantly trying to decide which model we want next. We go out shooting with our GLOCKs weekly—that has completely replaced the past hobby of trap shooting for the guys. I recently received my GSSF membership packet and am so pleased with all of the information that came with it.

G19—A Great Teacher fter serving in Viet Nam, I promised myself I A would never fire a weapon again unless out of necessity. For 33 years I kept my promise until 9/11/01. At that point, I made a visit to my local gun shop and bought a new G19. I was now visiting my local range a few times a week, with a pistol that in time would teach me how to shoot. With over 20,000 rounds of flawless effort, I can now fire 50 rounds at 13 yards and get a nice group.
