The full meaning of tonight’s celebration is founded in the gesture made at this time. The gesture of humility and of service conveys the responsibilities of those who share the Eucharist. Those having their feet washed tonight represent our community in the form of our parish leaders, parish organization members, and ministers.

Transfer of the Holy Eucharist The Blessed Sacrament is carried through the church in procession to the place of reposition prepared in Helena Hall. During the procession the following hymn is sung. The assembly is asked to remain in the pews until the procession is ready to move outside. Then all should process to Helena Hall to end in a short time of prayer. The Liturgy has no concluding rite, no dismissal. Rather, the church continues to watch and pray throughout the Triduum.
